Behind the Scenes at Lishman’s

| April 26, 2011 | 0 Comments

Recently, the Glutton Club (a group of locals who love their good food) came to the shop for a behind the scenes tour, to see how we produce the items that you see in our counter. They have written a blog post about how they got on-definitely worth a read!

I had a great time giving them a tour-it’s always nice to have people interested in what we do. I think many people don’t realise the size of operation that many butchers have in order to keep their counters well stocked with the best meat-what you see out front is really only the tip of the iceberg! The Glutton Club came for their visit a couple of weeks ago, in the run up to Easter so saw our production in quite a high gear-all the hams were being finished off in time for sales last week, and the Spring lamb came into the shop at the beginning of last week, ready for those Easter tables.
